This pretty item looks more like a pocket watch than a compact for pressed powder. I’m not enough of an Estee Lauder groupie to know what incarnation of their Ludicity compact this is, but it’s definitely a compact that I’m only too happy to pull out of my purse and use to touch up my makeup.
The powder itself is translucent, and the puff included picks up just the right amount of product. This is a God-send for girls with combination skin like me, as one pat of this powder and your shine disappears! Best of all, it isn’t cakey, so you don’t need to worry about looking too powdery at the end of the day. This isn’t a matte product, but instead gives your skin a beautiful luminosity. This is a really finely-milled powder which doesn’t feel heavy on the skin at all, nor does it oxidise with extended wear.
As this is translucent, it doesn’t add much in the way of colour, so this would be a great multi-tasker if you’re after one powder that will work on your foundation and/or a bronzer. I think the compact version is too small to use all over my face (it’s more of a touch-up-on-the-go product), but I’m very interested in purchasing the loose powder version to apply all over my face in the morning.
I don’t know how much this cost as it was a gift from the lovely Holly, or Beatideas on YouTube. The compact is refillable, and refills are available from your local Estee Lauder counter or online.
