Dempeaux’s Tour de Priceline

I don’t get into town that often, but when I do I love to wander around Priceline.  This proved to be the perfect activity for a rainy, cold, wintery day.

The first thing that caught my eye was a brand called ‘All About Glo’.  They only make bronzers and illuminators, and are a mineral line which is talc and paraben free.

Best of all, everything was AUD $5!

I passed on the bronzers as they looked a bit shimmery, but the illuminators were fantastic! I settled on a liquid highlighter in ‘Luminous Glow’, but I may go back and pick up a few more items.

When I’m ar Priceline, I always check out the price of my staple:  Covergirl Lashblast.  Usually it’s AUD $17, but it’s on special at the moment for AUD $7.95. I’ve never seen Covergirl Lashblast and Covergirl Lashblast Length this cheap.

I picked up the last Covergirl Lashblast in ‘Very Black’.

What you see below is a blurred iphone picture of organic Physicians’ Formula bronzers. I’ve been playing around with bronzers over the last week or so, without much success as I’m so fair.  Everything ends up looking muddy and dirty.

These organic Physician’s Formula bronzers look like a good option.  They’ve got a tiny bit of sheen to them, they are not orange, and look very buildable.

They are not particularly pigmented, but that’s exactly what I’m after.  However, at AUD $34.95, I can find these for a cheaper price on Ebay.

I also discovered that the whole L’Oreal Studio Secrets line is 20% off.

To be honest, I’m yet to try this line. Even with 20% off everything, it’s still quite expensive (AUD$15 for an eyeshadow, $32 for a primer, before discount), so I might wait this one out.

They’ve also discounted a range of tacky, celebrity perfumes, including Britney Spear’s ‘Fantasy’. to AUD $29.

I’m usually a bit snobbish with my perfume buying, prefering Serge Lutens, Annick Goutal, and Tom Ford over celebrity fragrances.  However, I secretly really like Britney Spear’s ‘Fantasy’. Shhhh…

I don’t feel particularly validated looking at the image showing ‘Fantasy’ as their number one selling fragrance either.

So, with a couple of minor purchases in hand, I started the drive home.  Luckily it stopped raining for a bit.

Our pet sheep were enjoying the temporary sunshine when I got home.

So what did I end up ‘hauling’ from town?

All the essentials! Covergirl Lashblast in Very Black (waterproof), one of those All About Glo liquid highlighters in ‘Luminous Glow’ ($5!) and a bottle of Pimm’s. Yes, we know it’s winter.

There are other deals going on at Priceline at the moment, so read the catalogue at Priceline.com.au for more information on current specials.

Is it sad that when I looked at the photo of Priceline my first thought was “Oh, you went to Bunbury!”

The photo’s of your drive home make me feel homesick, it’s so pretty down there.

  2. Dempeaux says:

Wow! I bow to your superior Priceline knowledge! That’s pretty impressive!

It is quite beautiful down here at the moment. Incredibly cold, but beautiful :)

Look out! You’re driving on the wrong side of the road!! ;) And seriously that kangaroo warning sign is the best thing I’ve ever seen, ever. All we have is leaping deer signs.
Okay, I’ll stop being so foreign now. :) I love this post!

  4. I love Priceline! I have to stop myself sometimes because I think I have an addiction.
I want to go check out the All About Glo line now.
I adore Pimms too! Whenever I drink it I feel I should be in an English garden wearing a floral dress and playing croquet.
And how cute are your sheep!! Hope they’re OK in this weather!

  5. Dempeaux says:

Hahaha!! That’s brilliant! I’m glad you like the kangaroo sign. We see kangaroos every night and every morning where we live, but this evening we saw a big family of about 30 hop by our house! I think the leeping deer sign sounds pretty awesome by the way :) You are welcome to be foreign any time you like. Thanks for the love! :)

It’s so good in Priceline at the moment. So many specials!
Definitely check out the All About Glo line. I’m thinking about heading back early next week :)
Love Pimm’s. I know it’s winter, but it’s summer in England, right? ;)
The sheep have been a bit frazzled by the weather, but they enjoy the sun when it comes out. They’re pretty podgy so I guess their fat will help to keep them warm.

  7. Sam says:

Oh my goodness! Do you really live near Bunbury? I used to live there! I was looking at those pictures and thinking to myself that it all looked familiar, and that Perth has had some crazy weather, and then I wondered if you were from (not-so) sunny WA!

I’m a WA girl, recently moved to London! I am stunned at how inexpensive cosmetics are here :)

  8. Dempeaux says:

Yes I do come from WA! Hi there fellow WA-er! *waves*

The weather has eased up storm-wise, but it’s still super cold (by WA standards)!

Prices of cosmetics are so much cheaper in England – I’m quite jealous! Have you checked out ‘In The Groove’? It won’t be here for another two months :(

  9. Sam says:

Not yet, but I will put it on my to-do list! Hmmm, even the BF wants to go shopping this afternoon, so this may be my lucky day!

All my family is complaining about the cold, and everyone here is complaining about the heat! I can’t win! :) I’ll shoot through an email with my finding about “In the Groove”

now for what to wear to the shops…….

  10. Dempeaux says:

Oh that’s great! Have fun! Can’t wait to hear what you find :) You’re so lucky!
