When I first used this foundation without a primer, it promptly sunk into every pore on my face. However, strangely, the finish when I checked my reflection in the rear vision mirror that day was absolutely stunning, and persuaded me to try it again. With a primer, this really is a beautiful, light foundation, which stays out of pores. Shade 15 was a little too dark for me, but 10 is perfect.
You only need the tiniest amount of product to cover your whole face, and it feels exactly like applying a tinted moisturiser. As it’s so pigmented, this foundation covers everything it needs to cover (probably light to medium coverage) but still looks like skin. What I really love is – unlike some foundations and tinted moisturisers – it leaves a great lively finish to the skin without looking too dewy. I can’t stand the look of a dewy face and a matte neck and chest. This foundation makes your skin look alive, healthy, and natural, without looking like your face and chest don’t match.
I apply my trusty Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre over my t-zone when wearing this, which is standard procedure for any foundation or tinted moisturiser I wear. I’m looking forward to trying this out in summer. With such a small amount of product needed and such great, long-lasting coverage, I think this might be a winner.
Girls in England can check out their local Suquu counter, but for the rest of us, Suqqu Liquid Aqua Foundation is available from Ichibankao.com for around USD $100 including shipping. I’m really interested in trying their Suqqu Foundation too, which provides fuller coverage.
