Lisa Taubes and Exit Art

Over the past six months I’ve ordered a number of Lisa Taubes pieces from Exit Art.  In addition to the pieces in the photograph above, I also ordered a Sapphire and Gold Vermeil Necklace (USD $118), and a 5ft Stirling Silver Chain Link Necklace (USD $98), both of which have been given away as Christmas presents.

Exit Art is a store in Florida which sells a number of items from jewellery designers located in the US, including Robert Lee Morris, Chan Luu, Lena Wald, Pascal Nabet Meyer, Sydney Evan, Me & Ro, Jeanine Payer, Sonia Renee, and Lisa Taubes. The Exit Art website at TheCurrentCustom.com is easy to navigate and shows clear photos of each item.  Everything I’ve ordered has been by Lisa Taubes and ordered through TheCurrentCustom.com, except for the Stirling Silver Hammered Earrings below which were ordered directly from Debbie Stannick (the owner of Exit Art) via email as they are not available on the website.

I’m very happy with all of my Lisa Taubes pieces.  All of them are light, delicate, well made, and very well priced indeed.

5ft Gold Fill Link Chain Necklace (USD $148):

The 5ft gold fill link necklace (USD $148) can be worn in a number of different ways, and is a delicate but strong piece. Each link is closed around the next so there is no danger of the necklace falling off halfway through the day.  What is difficult to capture in photographs (but partially revealed in the second photograph) is the way this necklace reflects light, particularly at night.  As the links move with your body they catch the light and add more drama to the necklace than you see in the photos above. The stirling silver version (USD $98) behaves in the same way.

Lisa Taubes Black Onyx with Gold Vermeil Chain (USD $118):

This black onyx necklace looks exactly like a black diamond necklace to my eye.  It goes with everything and can be worn day or night.

Lisa Taubes Grey Pearl and Gold Vermeil Chain Necklace (USD $98):

I love the way these grey pearls subtly change colour with the light. I can see traces of burgundy and green in these grey pearls, which is very beautiful indeed. A very sophisticated piece.

Lisa Taubes Stirling Silver Hammered Earrings (USD $29):

Gone are the days when I could wear big, heavy earrings throughout the day. I do like drop earrings, but only if they’re light, like these. I can wear these right through the day and not be bothered by them at all.  They also look good worn casually or on more formal occasions.

All of these items took around three weeks to get to Australia, so if you order a gift for someone, make sure you do so way ahead of time.  As Exit Art is not a large company and Debbie does the packing and sending herself, everything takes longer to arrive.  I have found Debbie Stannick incredibly helpful and professional to deal with.  I have never had to wait more than 24hrs for a reply to an email, and her answers are always informed and jovial.

Lastly, each piece arrives packaged in an Exit Art purple box:
