Asos Haulin’ and Package Forwarding from England

So, another Asos order has arrived, and it’s the order my partner made as a Valentine’s Day gift to me. I thought I’d do a quick post on what I received.  Along with that my Fever London dress turned up, sent from a package forwarding service, and I’m very happy with my experience.

Incidently, while I was taking these pictures I discovered that it is really, really hard to take decent pictures that show off clothes accurately. Fashion models and bloggers, I tip my hat to you. I had no idea how hard your job was.  Forgive my mediocre pictures.

Firstly, a Warehouse 3/4 Length Dress:

I really like this dress. It fits well, it’s comfortable, and would be great to take travelling as a ‘good dress’ as it doesn’t really crease. This dress was £15 (size 10) but Asos and the Warehouse website are now sold out. You can still buy it from asossale on Ebay, and  you can check her stock for any other Asos clothing you lusted after but missed out on. Unfortunately, she only ships within Europe, so if you live anywhere else you will need to use a package forwarding service.

Next up is the Asos Square Neck Bodycon Dress in red (longer length):

I really like this dress too. The material is stretchy and has a similar length to the Wardrobe dress above.  The sleeves make it great for transitioning into autumn, and red is one of my favourite colours.  It was £40 (size 12).

Yumi Knitted Heart Confetti Print Jumper Dress:

This jumper dress was a bit of a wild card which I’m hoping to pair with some black opaque stockings for winter.  It is a bit big on me (I bought the medium), but I suspect that it’s the style of the garment. It’s more casual than the other dresses I bought, but I think it’ll be really warm and comfortable to wear in winter. This dress was £19.

Fever London Escala Prom Dress:

Whilst this dress is by Fever London, I actually purchased it from the discount website BrandAlley. As they were having a fantastic sale on Fever London dresses but don’t ship outside of England, I used a packaging forwarding service based in England called UKBrandsWorldwide.com to buy this dress and one other for a friend.  The costings were as follows:

-Service charge – £15.00

-BrandAlley purchase price (for two dresses, the one above and one for a friend) – £38.00 + Delivery charge from BrandAlley – £4.95

-Shipping to Australia – £20.00

-Paypal fees – £3.37

Total – £81.32

I was really happy dealing with this company. Whilst package forwarding is always a costly affair, I loved how transparent all the costings were. They sent me a total quote before they placed my order and asked me if I was happy to proceed. I’d be very happy to deal with them again.

The dress itself cost me £19 and was ordered in a size 10. This colour is no longer available, but Fever London have just released the same dress in a beige/gold combination as part of their new collection. Very beautiful.

  1. I don’t think you’ve done too badly with the photos at all! The black and red dresses are my favourite, I love that body con style, they are very similar to the Galaxy dresses too. The prom dress just look fun and flirty, you look like you’re having fun just wearing it. Hurrah for ASOS I say ;-)

@StyleOnTheCouch I don’t know how you do it! This was really hard, and the black dress was particularly difficult to photograph. I love that bodycon/Galaxy style too. I think the back Warehouse number is my favourite, and I was even considering purchsing a backup (seriously, who does that?). I love Asos with it’s free international shipping at the moment :)

  3. Suzanne says:

i think you’ll get more wear out of the black one, but the red ones my favorite :) great pictures! I’m extremely un-brave when it comes to buying clothes online…

  4. Dempeaux says:

@Suzanne Thankyou! I like the red one too :) I think practice and a tape measure is all that’s needed for buying online. I love the variety that shopping online brings :)

  5. Jen W says:

    OMFG you look stunning!

I love how the first dress shows off your perfect figure, and how the colour of the second dress pops against your porcelain skin.

    Total babe!

  6. Dempeaux says:

    @Jen Thankyou! :D It was a good haul :)

  7. Dee says:

Wow, those are gorgeous – I especially love the first two. They sit on you beautifully and the length is really elegant. You’re all class, lady!

  8. Dempeaux says:

@Dee Thankyou! I really love the length too – I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dress that length in Oz. It’s very retro, which I love :)

  9. Emily says:

I love the pink one! It looks so bright and summery!

  10. GlossQueen says:

Those dresses are all beautiful! You did a great job with the photography too :)

  11. I love the pictures, you have such a lovely smile and the poses seem very natural. The Warehouse dress is my favourite, it’s the sort of style I would choose myself. The Fever London dress is pretty special too. The package forwarding service sounds good but if you’re ever stuck, I’m very happy to help out sending things on to you :)

@ModestyBrown Thanks Jane. The Warehouse dress seems to be a favourite with men – they really like it for some reason! I’ve become a big fan of Fever London in recent months too. Their new season stock is gorgeous. Thanks so much for offer to post things to me; I might hit you up on that offer before too long ;)

  15. Jessica says:

They all look great on you! That Fever dress is bloody eye catching! It looks amazing. I need that heart print sweater dress in my life.

  16. Dempeaux says:

@Jessica Thankyou! I wore the Fever dress today and it’s just so much fun – I love their clothes! I’ve had the heart print sweater on for all of about five minutes (it’s too hot to have it on for longer) but it feels really comfortable and not scratchy at all. I’m looking forward to the weather cooling down so that I can test it out properly:)
