OOTD Featuring Diane von Furstenberg

As you can see in the pictures below, the autumn weather is finally starting to reach us here in Australia, so I’m starting the slow transition into warmer clothes.

I picked up a delightful 1980s Diane von Furstenberg black wool blazer for USD $20 on Etsy, and I love it! Etsy is a great place to look for the work of a specific designer, as well as era-specific vintage pieces.  I live in blazers when the weather turns chilly, as I love their warmth and structure.

The blazer has barely-perceptible puffed sleeves and flares out slightly at the bottom:

The taupe top is from Portmans (a happy gift from my mother), the necklace is the 5ft gold Lisa Taubes chain, the Wakee jeans were purchased from a shop in the Pilbara about ten years ago, and the shoes are L.A.M.B., ordered from Ebay.

    this is awesome. I’ve been looking longingly at LAMB stuff for a while now, are you narrow-footed? How do they fit?

  2. Claire says:

    Looking stylish! Love the sleeves on the blazer. I think small puffy sleeves add a little something extra to tops and blazer.

  3. Dempeaux says:

    @Claire I love puffed sleeves too! They add some femininity to the piece :)

    @Suzanne Oh I LOVE L.A.M.B. shoes. I have an average-width foot, but even if you have a wide foot they would probably stretch to fit because the leather is some of the best I’ve ever seen (and I used to work in a shoe store!). Be aware that they do run large though. I take a size 9, but I take an 8 1/2 in L.A.M.B shoes. Also, the heels are uber tall, even by my standards! Having said all of that, they’re still my favourite pair of shoes. I think you’d be battling to find shoes with better craftsmanship :)

    @Tara Thankyou! :)

    @Genevieve Yes, a great find, and a great bargain! I am super happy with this one. Doesn’t look too 80s at all :)

  9. I posted a blazer from FCUK just like this on my blog recently, it caught my eye as a perfect Spring coat and here is this one looking great on you! I really need to get in to Etsy don’t I…

    @StyleOnTheCouch I saw that blazer! I couldn’t believe how similar it looked to the vintage DVF! You definitely need to get into Etsy, but I must warn you, it’s a downward spiral ;)
