Le Metier de Beaute, Beaute, and Edward Bess: Can You Have the Latest Cosmetics Shipped Internationally?

These are the brands everyone is talking about, and in a crowded cosmetic marketplace that’s not an easy thing to do. But for people living outside the US, how on earth do you sample these new delights?

Beaute Cosmetics:  The Canadian-born Beau Nelson is the Creative Director of this high-end company which makes cosmetics of outstanding quality. The Weightless Lip Cremes USD $26 (above) get the most air-time for their non-gloopy, mositurising, full coverage ways. However, the Liquid Gel Stains (USD $29) which can be used on the cheeks or lips are also worthy of some notice given their longevity, although the colour range is much more limited.  Now, the price hit.  Shipping to Australia is USD $45 from www.beaute-cosmetics.com.

Edward Bess:  This line remains a Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus exclusive, so if you don’t live near one of those two locations, you’ll be looking to shop online.  Unfortunately Neiman Marcus doesn’t ship cosmetics internationally, and Bergdorf Goodman require you to call to place an international order, which is too much mucking about for me.  Fortunatley, www.edwardbess.com only charges USD $12.75 ground shipping to Australia, making his cosmetics line a little more affordable shipping-wise, but then,  the products themselves are not exactly bargain basement.  The Jetset Collection (above) will cost you $125, and one of his Eyeshadow Trios will cost you USD $60.  But everything is top notch.  His eyeshadows are finely-milled, long wearing, and silky, his Compact Rouge (similar to Kevin Aucoin’s Creamy Moist Glow), and his lipsticks are creamy and hydrating.

Le Metier de Beaute:  Another luxury brand that’s very hard to find outside of Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus, who both carry the full line.  As you can see in the photo above, the packaging of their products is a glorious addition to an already quality product.  Fortunately, www.libery.co.uk stocks most of the Le Metier de Beaute line and charges a flate rate of (an astonishing) 25 pounds.   Despite the hefty price tag (21 pounds for an eyeshadow, 65 pounds for a Lip Kit) this is the closest makeup gets to being an heirloom.

I love all of these cosmetics brands, but I really hope that they start popping up on ebay soon.

    Hi there,
I have been seeing reviews of Edward Bess and Le Metier De Beauty products. Your post helped so much to find Edward Bess products that ship to Australia! Somehow, I went into norm storm, neimanmarcus, and bergdorf goodman where these website only ship to Canada and USA, except norm storm – it cannot ship beauty products.
I have been wanting desperately to purchase Le Metier De Beauty eye shadow kit and I went into the website which you have linked on the post. However, the website does’t supply Le Metier De Beauty? Do you know anywhere else where I could buy their products??

@Lydia That’s great! You can buy LMdB from Nordstroms, who ship to Australia, but shipping is $$$. Best to go with a package forwarding company like Shopaholiques :)
