Another day, another Shiro Cosmetics order. This time, somewhere between the study of Neoplatonism and Palladio’s architecture, I decided I needed to have all the Intertubes from Shiro Cosmetics.
These are just some photos and initial impressions of the collection.
All the samples in pots below have been photographed after swatching, instead of before. I think the colour translates more accurately that way:
Why did I order Robe & Wizard Hat? Who can say, but it’s unlikely that I’ll get much wear out of it unless I’m having a punk moment at home. The others look really lovely.
Numa Numa looks amazing in the pan, but looks quite light and golden on my hand (which is never a good combination for me), but I’ll reserve judgement for when I try it on the lips. Sad Keanu and Rickrolled look much more my speed. Chocolate Rain is quite brown, so I might use that for a base, as I’ve already noticed that the staying-power of all these Intertubes is phenomenal.
Three Wolf Man is one of favourites already. It’s a really beautiful red, and I’m very happy to have this in my collection. Longcat is essentially just a shimmery, clear lipstick, which might actually go well paired with some of the other Intertubes featured here.
Shiro Cosmetics Intertubes are USD $6.50 each, or $1.80 per sample. Shipping for all of these samples was $1.75 to Australia.

oh man, I really want three wolf moon and yo dawg now…
@Suzanne They’re really, really lovely. I wore Three Wolf Man around the house this morning, and the staying power and the colour are phenominal
Hmmm, they look lovely. If only I wasn’t doing P50P.
@GlossQueen Oh what a shame! You’d love these
Three wolf moon, sad keanu and rickrolled *wants!!!*
These look cute, Rickrolled is tempting me. I’d love to see a swatch of Robe and Wizard Hat on the lips=)
Cheap shipping, impressive!
I never would have thought these were lipsticks, more like gloss eye creams or something (unless I’m mistaken and they are multipurpose?) Great colors anyway, I’m still giggling over the fact they named one Sad Keanu.
@Jade I was actually thinking that those colours are very you as I was swatching them!
@Emmabovary Rickrolled looks lovely, and actually works really well on the lips. I’ll try to do a separate post with swatches of all of them
@Claire It’s funny you should say that, because I was thinking the same thing as I was swatching them! As I have very oily lids they would end up a terrible mess on me, but I would be very interested to see whether anyone’s used them as eye glosses
Sad Keanu looks amazing – I find it difficult to get purples right, without getting a kind of bruised look, but the right shade can look velvety and luxurious. Thank you for the introduction to these!
ps will you please blog any future punk rock moment?

@StyleOnTheCouch I haven’t tried that purple on the lips yet, but it definitely has promise! I’ll be sure to report back, and I’ll definitely blog any future punk moments

Loving Three Wolf Man, Chocolate Rain, and Rick Rolled on you. You’re right about the blue though- perhaps for a dress up party?
@Jen I agree! Love those three! Yeah, even at a dress-up party I’d feel a bit odd in that blue lipstick
Serious pigment in those- amaze!! Wizard Robe &Hat would be fab on you as dipped in water and used as subtle eyeliner
@MeMyBestAndI Aren’t they great? I’ve been getting quite a bit of wear out of them already. I’ll have to try out that eyeliner suggestion
