These are both really good handcreams, but for different reasons.
The Chanel Nourishing and Rejuvenating Hand Cream sinks straight into your hands and makes them feel softer instantly. It’s very nourishing as the name states, and a little goes a long way. However I find the Skin MD Natural Face, Hand & Body Shielding Lotion less pleasurable to initially apply. It’s a great product, in that it too sinks in quickly and nourishes the hands, but when you apply it you’re left with a plastic-y smell and feeling for about half an hour afterwards. However, where the Skin MD product triumphs over the Chanel is in longevity: once you apply the Skin MD you can wash your hands quite a few times before it comes off, thus protecting your hands from everyday wear. The Chanel will withstand a wash or two, but won’t last as long as the Skin MD.
Therefore, I’m going to keep buying both these products for different reasons: the Skin MD to use if I go out and don’t have time to reapply handcream, and the Chanel for when I’m at home and want my hands to feel instantly soft and supple.
I bought the Chanel Nourishing and Rejuvenating Hand Cream from 2raspberries for USD $29.99 plus $7.50 shipping to Australia, and I bought the Skin MD Natural Face, Hand & Body Shielding Lotion from tiffgalleria for $10.00 plus $7.32 shipping to Australia.
