I am so happy with my skin at the moment. Just a few months ago I was beginning to think that Botox was an option worth looking in to, but with an overhaul of my skin care routine I think I’ve found a way to keep the needle at bay. If I could recommend three things to each person reading this, I would say-
1. Moisturise like it’s going out of fashion
2. Use a sunscreen every day
3. Find a vitamin c serum (with over 15% vitamin c) and use it twice a day
If you do these three things, you will see a difference in the quality of your skin, and you will be preserving it for the future too.
Morning:
Cleanser – Cetaphil Cleanser
Moisturiser – Lancome Secret de Vie or Cetaphil Moisturising Cream for dry/ sensitive skin
Sunscreen – Olay Complete Defence SPF 30 Sensitive
Lip Balm – Lanolips 101 Ointment
Night:
Cleanser – Lancome Huile Eclat Deep Cleansing Oil (for removing makeup), Cetaphil Cleanser (for cleaning and balancing the skin)
Vitamin C Serum – Remede Super C Serum
Moisturising Serum – Burt’s Bees Naturally Ageless Serum applied to eyes, neck and decolletage
Night Cream – Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream
Lip Balm – Lanolips 101 Ointment
Treatments:
Mario Badescu Drying Cream – I use this to get rid of small, cyctic pimples, but it works on any pimple that you want to zap just as well.
Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion – only for use every other day, because it’s quite strong. Applied to cyctic or normal pimples, this makes pimples disappear and heals the area.
Mario Badescu Drying Mask – great for neutralising break-outs before they begin. Only use this on the area that needs treatment though (cheeks, forehead etc) as it’s very drying.
Peter Thomas Roth Unwrinkle Peel Pads – a mess-free exfoliant that moisturises as it works, and is not as harsh on the skin as a scrub.
Payot Masque Creme Hydratant – applied three times a week before bed. Wear it overnight and you’ll wake up with very well hydrated skin.
Body:
Mario Badescu Citrus Cleanser (gently exfoliating)
Cetaphil Cleanser
Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Honey Drops Body Cream (night)
Mario Badescu Formula 200 Body Lotion (day)
Chanel Body Excellence Hand Cream
Definitely want to try out some Mario Badescu stuff! Love seeing people promoting sunscreen, even in this day and age so many people don’t incorporate one into their everyday routine! ^ ^
I’ve been so happy with Mario Badescu – it’s a great line! It’s not too expensive either. It’s been so good for my skin
Sunscreen is so important – I recommend it to everyone. I think lots of people still think of sunscreen as something that never absorbs in and will make them look greasy, but it’s just not the case any more. There are so many good ones on the market
