Lanolips Lip Ointment with Colour in Mulberry – Limited Edition

I rarely blog about things I’ve been sent these days, but I have to make an exception for the new, limited edition Lanolips Lip Ointment with Colour in Mulberry.

I’m already a huge fan of the original Lanolips 101 Ointment and have about four tubes scattered around the house right now. I use it variously as a lip balm, cuticle treatment, eye cream, and I’ve even used it to restore an old, battered pair of shoes to their former glory.

Lanolips Lip Ointment with Colour in Mulberry is a limited edition, coloured version of the 101 Ointment. Only 5000 have been made for sale worldwide.

The balm itself is very moisturising and incredibly comfortable to wear, and I love the caramel scent.

It looks very dark in the tube, but appears as a rosey-pink colour on my lips. My skin tone has aways had a habit of eating up colour, and I have noticed that this balm appears slightly darker on other bloggers (see AddToCart and MyFunnyValentine for evidence of this).

I find the colour lasts for about two hours and fades evenly. I love this look with some eye makeup and no base. I think it looks really fresh, modern, and summery. Moreover, the redness of the balm makes my blue eyes look even more blue!

Lanolips Lip Ointment with Colour in Mulberry costs $13.95 for a single tube. However, it will also be available as part of the Lanolips Super Hydrating Gift Set, available for Christmas and only $24.95 for the whole set. I think I have to pick one of these sets up for myself! It contains a Lanolips 101 Ointment (always need more of those), a tube of the Rose Balm Intense for Very Dry Hands & Nails, and a Lanolips Lip Ointment with Colour in Mulberry.

  1. Sarah when you kindly sent me the original lanolips to try I was so pleased and I have used it so much ever since. This looks perfect for me, not too heavy in colour and with the treatment too, a great buy. I’m certainly going to invest in this. (You look gorgeous in the last picture here you know!)

@StyleOnTheCouch Oh that’s fab! It’s fantastic if you have *really* dry lips like you and I, and I love that it’s a natural product. I hope you love the Mulberry edition. And thankyou! 😀

That’s so interesting that you’ve used it on your shoes! How did you come up with the idea of using the 101 on shoes?

Looks gorgeous on you Sarah 🙂

  6. Dempeaux says:

@JenW I used to work in a shoe store, and I would sell people Dubbin to restore their old shoes ( I figured Lanolips is essentially the same thing, and it worked beautifully! 😀

    Thanks Jen 🙂

  7. Meeta says:

Gorgeous colour, I wonder if this will be available in the UK? I cannot get enough of the 101 ointment, the texture is so lovely. I will have to try it on my shoes – thanks for the tip!

  8. Dempeaux says:

@Meeta I love it too! I imagine it will be available in the UK, but I’m not sure of suppliers. Good luck with the shoes 😉

  9. Jan says:

I cannot get with Lanolips at all – which distresses me deeply as I love the shades of the colours and the gleam that they give to the lips. The Mulberry does look glorious though, and I will be elbowing Meeta out of the way to get a tube ;-). Thanks for this. x

  10. Dempeaux says:

@Jan Oh what a shame! Hope you love Mulberry though 🙂 x

  11. I love that berry colour! This looks like a great way to get into Lanolips 🙂

  12. LOVE LOVE LOVE Lanolips! I bought my first tube a few weeks ago and it was simply gorgeous!! Mulberry seems to suit everyone!

  13. Dempeaux says:

@LipStalker Yes! I agree with that. So easy to throw on as I’m heading out the door too 🙂
